The Recent Story

Since I started this blog, I have finished & completed my journey at Horizon Kidz. God has been faithful to carry me through this journey where I have learned so much about myself, kids, and people in general. I have  struggled, been discouraged, lost faith, BUT GOD. He has carried me through those moments.  I have learned that God provides friends just when you feel alone, He will calm you in the midst of your storm, and He will qualify you for the task that lays ahead of you. I have learned to be wholehearted in my devotion to God and in life. I have been delivered from depression, found joy again, and realized my purpose in life.  My purpose in life is to love God & love people. It doesn't get any simpler than that. I have found friends I didn't expect. I have found God's hand evidently working. Surrounding me with His people, and His presence. Each kid has taught me about love, honesty, true joy, peace, consistency, backbone, inner strength, not giving up, worth, value, and kindness. They showered me with love. They taught me how to genuinely love. Hopefully God will open doors for me to go into teaching...or maybe this was just a journey He led me on to help me discover my value as a person and find the strength to face life again. Either way, I'm going to be studying in Laredo and continuing my teaching dreams until God opens another door.

He has rewarded my little steps of obedience & faith, more than I ever thought He possibly could.  Stories will be shared later.
Since I put all my faith & trust and stopped trying to do it within my own power, God has taken over & completely changed my classroom. God has transformed my relationships with the other teachers, administration, the kids, & their parents. HE IS AMAZING!!!!!
The last time I wrote in this blog, I was going to quit. But God told me not to. Galatians 6:9

God is faithful.

Who am I kidding

This has been the hardest day yet I'm so tired of this job I desperately want to quit! Kids wouldn't listen and I am just plain tired. How do I find the strength to go on days like these? How do I change my persective on days when I feel like a failure?

I have this one little boy who said in class to another little boy that was crying. "Boys don't cry....or scream!"
